"Electoral blocs in the Ukrainian manner are a one-time instrument for getting to the authorities, - stated Oleksandr Lavrynovych, First Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, in the "Radio Svoboda" program, commenting upon the Bill on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Elections of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine" registered at the Parliament. The Bill excludes electoral blocs of political parties from the subjects of the political process.
O.Lavrynovych believes that electoral blocs of political parties serve as an instrument of destruction of Ukrainian political system, as they destroy political responsibility and connection between the electors and the political party they supported.
Moreover, according to O.Lavrynovych, the party composition of political blocs can alter, which results in political irresponsibility.
O.Lavrynovych explained the topicality of excluding electoral blocs of political parties from the subjects of the political process. Thus, he deems necessary to have "accurate mechanisms that determine political structure of both the society and the authorities".
Dwelling upon the possible achievement of agreement between the politicians, O.Lavrynovych stated: "Before a new President is elected and assumes the office, Ukraine will remain in the state of a permanent political crisis, which will result in the economic problems".
As far as the ways of overcoming the political crisis are concerned, the politician deems necessary to change the composition of the Parliament.
"It is necessary to change the composition of the Parliament. And the sooner, the better", - stressed O.Lavrynovych, and added: "At present, we enter the stage, when the presidential election campaign is being launched, which complicates the situation".
